Red East Pictures Ltd. is a motion pictures production company. It has been established in 2007 in Hong Kong by local Chinese and French partners known under the international creative label “The Ubiks”.

The Ubiks are a team of experienced directors and writers who have worked on many projects in Asia, Europe and the USA.

Red East Pictures has been created around several main purposes:

- To build and produce projects with local and international financing for The Ubiks. Projects that can have various scopes and flavors, from local Hong Kong films to foreign productions filmed in Hong Kong to international projects filmed anywhere in the world with the know how provided by the company.

- To provide a reliable production solution for international projects aiming to film fiction or documentaries in Hong Kong. Red East Pictures offers consulting, knowledge of local crews and filming techniques, production managers, line producers or executive producers. Red East Pictures also provides its own in house equipment for filming (HD video cameras for documentary, 4K Digital film cameras for fiction) and editing.

- To support, coach and help develop projects by other talented artists and unite them under the label of The Ubiks, so as to offer a wide range of styles and topics with a common guarantee of quality and innovation.

- To be a bridge between East and West and help bring work and investment on exciting international projects that will benefit from Hong Kong’s many assets when it comes to film-making.
